Clean and Simple Birthday card

I wanted to make a masculine birthday card that wasn't too fussy and this is what I came up with. I figured it was time to pull out the Lifestyles Letterpress because the images are clean and simple. I used Lifestyles Letterpress Celebrations to make this card: the circles plate and the sentiment are both from the set. The dark brown ink I used is also from Lifestyles. I added a chartreuse ribbon (a little color wouldn't hurt... right?) and Voila! Here's a close-up:

Hello!

This is a really bad picture and I don't know why. I tried to slant the lamp this way and that. The paper is actually a crisp white and looks much better in person. I made this for mother-in-law and father-in-law. It is just a card to say hello :) They live pretty far away and it is just nice let them know we are thinking about them.

Well mystery solved! The first pic is taken with my Blackberry. The second picture is taken with my Canon. Gosh, I shudder to think how many pics I took with my Balckberry that could have been soooo much better...
